A Strong Voice. Practical Solutions. An Even Better LaSalle.

Hi! Hello!
And Welcome!

Hi, I'm Kate Paddon, and I'm proud to be running for LaSalle Town Council.

For the past 19 years, LaSalle has been home. Originally from Windsor, I've spent my life in Essex County and have watched our community continue to grow into one of the most desirable places to live. What makes LaSalle special isn't just its beautiful neighbourhoods, it's the people who call it home.

I love the little things that bring our community together, from the Oliver Farms Holiday Tractor Parade to the ever-growing rock snake in the fairy forest. They're reminders that LaSalle is a town where neighbours care about one another, families put down roots, and community pride runs deep.

Professionally, I bring more than 25 years of experience in advertising, marketing, and creative communications. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts (Honours) from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and have spent my career helping organizations communicate clearly, solve problems, manage projects, and think strategically. Those are skills I believe are just as valuable in local government as they are in business.

Giving back has always been important to me. I serve on the External Affairs Committee for Art Windsor-Essex (AWE), helping strengthen arts and cultural initiatives across our region. As a Butterflyway Ranger with the David Suzuki Foundation, I work to create pollinator-friendly spaces that make our community greener and more sustainable. I also serve on my workplace's fiduciary committee, where I help ensure responsible financial oversight and accountability.

I'm running because I believe LaSalle deserves thoughtful leadership that listens first, communicates openly, and plans responsibly for the future. As our town continues to grow, we need practical solutions that preserve the qualities residents love while preparing for tomorrow.

I believe good local government starts with listening, making informed decisions, and putting residents first.

I would be honoured to earn your trust and your vote.

If you have a question, an idea, or simply want to introduce yourself, I'd love to hear from you. Together, we can help keep LaSalle the community we're proud to call home.

Why I'm Running

LaSalle is a community people are proud to call home. Over the past 19 years, I've watched our town grow while maintaining the welcoming neighbourhoods, strong community spirit, and high quality of life that make it so special.

As our community continues to evolve, I believe it's important that growth is thoughtful, responsible, and guided by the people who live here. Residents deserve to understand the decisions being made, have opportunities to share their perspectives, and feel confident that their voices are being heard.

I'm running for Town Council because I believe local government works best when it is transparent, approachable, and focused on practical solutions. My professional experience has taught me the value of listening, collaborating, managing projects responsibly, and communicating clearly, skills I will bring to every decision I make on behalf of our community.

If elected, I'll work to:

  • Encourage open, two-way communication between Town Hall and residents.

  • Support responsible growth that protects the character of our neighbourhoods while planning for the future.

  • Make thoughtful, evidence-based decisions that reflect the needs of our community.

  • Be accessible, accountable, and committed to listening.

LaSalle has given me so much over the past 19 years. Running for Council is my opportunity to give back and help ensure our town remains a place where families, businesses, and future generations can continue to thrive.

“I have known Kate for many years. Kate goes above and beyond in everything she does and leaves no task undone. I believe Kate would be a fantastic representative for LaSalle”

"I've had the privilege of working closely with Kate Paddon for over 10 years as her colleague, where she served as Creative Director. Kate consistently demonstrated the exact qualities LaSalle needs in a council member: fiscal responsibility, innovative problem-solving, and genuine care for her community.

She was a regular advocate for our client’s budget, identifying efficiencies, cost-saving opportunities, and always asking the thoughtful questions needed to truly understand their goals.

Beyond her financial acumen, Kate led groundbreaking sustainability initiatives, including designing inventive packaging for school supply donations that could be repurposed as classroom garden containers and spearheading zero-landfill initiatives for clients.

Her empathy shines through in every interaction—whether working with colleagues, leadership, or clients—and she maintains unwavering quality standards even under the most demanding pressure.

Kate's tireless work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and pride in delivering exceptional results make her uniquely qualified to serve LaSalle with the same dedication and innovation she's brought to every project we've tackled together."
